Davis received her BS degree in Mathematics and Biology (double major) from Duke University (Durham, NC) in 1994 and her Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA). She completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Physiology and Electrical Engineering (joint) at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD). Prof. Dr. Davis is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Davis. Her main research interests are chemical and biological sensing applications, the use of technology to speed up biomarker discovery, novel bioMEMS devices, and the bioinformatics interpretations of sensor outputs.
