Having attained a master's degree in Biotechnology and PhD in Chemical Engineering, Prof. Anna Trusek continued her chemical and bioprocess engineering career. Currently, she holds the position of professor at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, leading the Department of Bioprocess, Micro- and Nanoengineering.
In addition to microbial and membrane processes, Prof. Anna Trusek has recently worked on drug carriers based on graphene oxide, hydrogels and natural and synthetic biocompatible polymers. There is a small brewery at the university where Prof. Trusek is also working to produce a health-promoting beer (gluten-free, alcohol-free and rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory substances).
