Prof. Silvia Nair Goyanes obtained her PhD in Physics at Buenos Aires University (UBA) (Argentina, 1996). She then specialized in the development of nanostructures and new materials at the University of the Basque Country under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iñaki Mondragon (Materials + Technology Group). Prof. Goyanes became an assistant teacher at UBA in 1989 (full professor for the Physics Department, Faculty of Science, UBA, from 2019) and joined CONICET as an assistant researcher in 1999 (superior researcher from 2019). She is Group Leader and Founder (year 2003) of the Polymers and Composite Materials Laboratory at the Physics Department of the Faculty of Science, UBA. Prof Goyanes has published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers (5660 citations, h-index: 40; source: Google Scholar), several book chapters (more than 20), and nine patents (Lens patents). Orcid: 0000-0002-2200-0576. Prof. Dr. Goyanes is an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of collaborative work and research that transfers to Argentine industry (technology transfer applied to the development of products and processes that were commercialized by industry: 4). Research and development areas: materials science, nanomaterials, and life sciences.
