He received a B.E. degree in Chemical Equipment and Machinery from the Xi’an Jiao Tong University, Xi’an, China, in 1990 and M.E. and D.E. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2004. His research interests include underwater work techniques and special robot technology. He holds fifteen patents.
