Ronei de Almeida earned, from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, a BS in Chemical Engineering (2016) and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering/environmental Technology (2022). He is now a Professor at the Department of Sanitary Engineering and Environment of UERJ. He received the 1st Environmental Award of Rio de Janeiro State (INEA, 2019) and the following grants: MAECI/SGCS 2022-2023, PDR-10/FAPERJ, and Confap-Italy Call 2019. His research interests include wastewater treatment, solid waste valorization, and membrane separation processes.
