I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Electromechanical Convergence Engineering at the Korea Institute of Technology Education. I received my Ph.D. at the Department of Industrial Shipbuilding Engineering at Seoul National University in 2011. The subject of my Ph.D. thesis is a study on the optimum design technique of automotive bumper systems under multiple load conditions. With an industrial field career, I have worked at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and at Hyundai Motor Company to develop advanced new technologies. My field of interest includes the development of new lightweight materials, energy harvesting and the safety technology development of autonomous vehicles.
