Lehua Island is a small island in the Hawaiian islands. It is 0.7 miles (1.1 km) north of Niʻihau and directly west of Kauai. Nobody lives on the island. The area is 279-acre (1.13 km2) Captain James Cook saw the island in 1778. He spelled it "Oreehoua".
