2024 Stickler Syndrome Conference

A massive "THANK YOU" from the trustees for our amazing speakers and our amazing audience, over the two days, at the 2024 Stickler Syndrome UK Conference.

Not only have we absorbed loads of brilliant information and content, but we've managed to get together in person and enjoy exactly what a physical event has to offer to its delegates. It was great to see everyone coming together at a lovely venue in a friendly and positive manner, and sharing thoughts on such a broad range of presentations.

Thank you to those who have completed the evaluation forms before departing. For those who were not able to, there will be a general email going out to all ticket booking email addresses with a link to an online form. Please do give us your feedback so that we can understand how to best plan things for future events.

What's next?...
Your chance to come and join us at the Run Alton Towers family fun event promoted on our website's new Events page. This November event includes a Kids' Race (including buggies and wheelchairs) along with 5k, 10k and Half-Marathon runs over the weekend of 16 & 17 November, but everyone can join in as a spectator (at £20) with free access to the theme park after each day's events. Come a meet others and be part of this great social gathering in the middle of England as our very first 'awareness event' in the new UK-wide programme.

Marato Barcelona is here? Fancy some tapas and a ramble down La Rambla? The Barcelona Marathon and Half-Marathon are open to free registration through Stickler Syndrome UK. You can find the link on our web page. It's a great flat route... perfect for marathon newcomers or someone working on a new Personal Best time. We already have one prospective entry from this month's conference... Barcelona in March could make for a lovely long weekend!

The MSK factsheets are starting to appear on the Downloads page. The first two 'What is Stickler Syndrome' and 'Hypermobility' are now available for downloading as A4 PDFs. More to follow over the coming weeks.

The August edition of our 'Briefs' e-Newsletter… was emailed at the end of the month. If you're not already subscribed, you can sign-up on the About page of this website. If you have subscribed and haven't received your newsletter by email, please check your Junk/Spam folder in case it has slipped into there. Monthly prize draw for August edition will be in late September. You just don't know what we're going to send the winner, but good luck!
