నీటి గుఱ్ఱం ఒక సాధు జంతువు. ఇది ఏనుగులా ఉంటుంది. ఇది ఎక్కువగా ఆఫ్రిాలో ఉంటుంది. సహారా ఎడారి దిగువ భాగంలో దక్ఇషిణ ఆఫ్రికా దేశాలలో ఎక్కువగా ఉంటాయి. ఇవి శాఖాహార జీవులు. శరీరం భారీ అయినప్పటికీ వీటికి దూకుడు స్వభావం ఎక్కువ. ఇవి ఎక్కువగా నీటిలో జీవిస్తాయి.[3]
