Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina, as well as the largest city of that country and the second-largest metropolitan area in South America. It's noted for having fine architecture, the boulevard Avenida Nueve de Julio, and bits of giant robot lying everywhere. Ezeiza International Airport lies at a few miles distance.

When Starscream absorbed a portion of the Underbase, Buenos Aires was one of the three cities he chose to destroy. He announced this, of course, out loud, so when he arrived, an army of Autobots and Decepticons led by Fortress Maximus and Soundwave were waiting for him.
While in the city, these Transformers were taken out by Starscream, in the following order:
- The Triple Changers (Octane, Astrotrain, Blitzwing)
- Buzzsaw and Laserbeak
- The Technobots (Scattershot, Strafe, Nosecone, Lightspeed, Afterburner)
- The Terrorcons (Hun-Grrr, Blot, Sinnertwin, Cutthroat, Rippersnapper}
- Soundwave
- Omega Supreme

IDW Revenge of the Fallen comics
Sideswipe's vendetta against the monstrous Demolishor led him to nearby Buenos Aires, tracking the Decepticon to Ezeiza International Airport. When Ironhide showed up too, come to rein in Sideswipe, the Autobots realised too late Demolishor was deliberately drawing in as many 'bots as possible so he could take them out.
Demolishor deliberately headed for Buenos Aires itself, tearing into the buildings to goad the Autobots into fighting him there. While Ironhide wanted to draw him out to minimise innocent casualties, Sideswipe went in to deliberately engage him, and so the elder soldier had to shelter fleeing civilians instead. The fight was abruptly ended when the Argentine Air Force opened fire on both combatants, injuring them to the extent that Demolishor had to flee when other Autobots arrived. The tech conglomerate Onyx had a tower in Buenos Aires. When Eagles Scream
After the people of Verenya had been mutated into partial Dire Wraiths, Garrison Blackrock arranged for the Action Man Programme to take the citizens to the Onyx tower in Buenos Aires in the hopes a cure could be found. Crisis Intervention Once the Revolutionaries and the Micronauts took custody of the Talisman, Blackrock had Larissa take it to the tower as well for study. Enter the Shadow After meeting and befriending the lost Eukarian Centurion, Blackrock directed him to the Onyx tower to recover. Strange Visitors
After the Revolutionaries captured Garrison Kreiger and reunited with the time lost Sgt. Savage, Power and Glory they retreated back to Onyx tower to await a G.I. Joe squad to take custody of the Talisman. Centurion, however, was still loyal to Kreiger and disabled the tower's defenses, allowing Baron Ironblood's forces to teleport into the tower. - Long-time Transformers artist José Delbo was born in Buenos Aires, which is why Starscream decides to attack it alongside New York City and Tokyo.
