The Cybertron Alliance (セイバートロン連合 Seibātoron Rengō) is an inevitably doomed glorious merging of the Autobot and Decepticon armies under the joint leadership of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Bringing peace once again to the Cybertronian race, the Cybertron Alliance has brought about a new hope for a permanent end to their long war.

Capes! We need capes!

After Optimus Prime and Megatron had been resurrected to battle each other, the two eventually settled on a truce. With Megatron's sanity circuits repaired, he agreed to the new Cybertron Alliance. He and Prime hoped that this would not only end hostilities between Autobots and Decepticons, but would usher in the Second Generation of the Transformers.

And it did, but only for a few minutes. After an incident where Earthlings killed one of his closest friends, Megatron called off the truce in a fit of rage and the G-2 battles began. G-2 Part 3

Generations Selects Special Comic

The stability of the Cybertron Alliance was tested in 2050 when the humans created their own race of servant robots, the Selectors. Tired of their lot in life, a representative of the Selectors asked Megatron for help in fighting for their freedom, which Megatron agreed to. With the Autobots ostensibly on the side of humans and Decepticons on the side of the Selectors, the two factions were again forced into conflict. Volcanicus comic 1

Drama! Pathos! Cross-promotion!

However, Megatron successfully convinced Optimus and the Autobots to stand up for the Selectors' freedom as well by quoting Prime's own motto back at him, which reunified the Cybertron Alliance on the side of the Selectors. The Dinobots were left as the only group of Transformers still in support of humanity. Although the Dinobots initially fought against the Alliance, even they would end up joining forces with the Alliance to combat the fully revealed machinations of the Quintessons, unifying all of the Cybertronian race under the banner of the Cybertron Alliance once more. Volcanicus comic 2

As the Quintessons' troops began attacking and absorbing the Earth's Angolmois Energy, Megatron realized that, having once been rebuilt by Unicron, he too could store great amounts of Angolmois. Abominus comic 1 Evolved into Megatron Omega, the influx of Angolmois caused the Decepticon leader to return to his villainous ways. Abominus comic 2

Going on rampage against anything in his path, Megatron was met by the time travelling Maximal Lio Convoy whose Righteous Angolmois Energy shattered Megatron's body and purified his spark. Despite this, everyone was convinced that the Angolmois Energy made Earth too dangerous for anyone. While humanity and the Selectors made peace and set out to find a new homeworld, the Cybertron Alliance returned to Cybertron, erasing all knowledge of Earth from their archives. Finale

Autocons? Deceptibots?
  • While the Alliance lasted, Autobots and Decepticons both wore a previously unseen symbol that combined elements of their individual sigils. The symbol bears a heavy resemblance to the ancient proto-faction insignia discovered by Shockwave in the Dreamwave Generation 1 comic.
