- The Hydrusian guide is an alien from the Marvel portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
The "Hydrusian guide" is a Hydrus Four native. He is an energetic fellow who is doing his best to be helping out, but has trouble understanding when he needs to rein in to allow others some peace of mind. In that respect, it is of no help that he is being rather clumsy and having a bit of an odd way of talking.

The Hydrusian guide was hired by Grimlock to bring him to the island of Farooth, where the Dinobot hoped to find the means to revive his teammates. At some point, the guide became separated from Grimlock and got lost, but found his way back to him shortly before reaching the coast. Grimlock, annoyed by the inhospitable environment and the limited qualities of his guide, wondered aloud why he bothered. The guide then enthusiastically reminded him in painstaking detail why he bothered, until Grimlock urged him to be quiet, pointing at a shady-looking mechanoid close by. The guide screamed and made a run for it, leaving his client to deal with the alerted creature. The Pri¢e of Life!
