The Prism of Power is a mythical crystal containing "the sum total of all the knowledge in the galaxy". Although no one has ever laid eyes on it, it exists on the planet Andellor. To find it, one must brave many hazards, including space vultures, and the Prism's guardian, Grogg, who will challenge you with a riddle before you can take possession of the Prism. It is also referred to as the Power Prism.

Fiction

Transformers in 3-D

Some one thousand years ago, the Andellors finished their task of collecting all of the knowledge in the galaxy and created the Prism of Power. This achieved, they placed the Prism in the care of Grogg, along with a riddle for him to use to test knowledge-seekers' worthiness. The Andellors then departed for another dimension to find more knowledge.

When a group of kids needed the use of the Prism of Power, they got Cosmos to take them to Andellor. There they teamed with Ironhide to avoid more obstacles and reach Grogg. Grogg warned them that they must answer his riddle correctly, or face destruction at the hands of his snake-monster pets. One of the children answered the riddle correctly, and Grogg granted them the use of the Prism for a period of 48 hours, but required that the girl, Fon, remain with him until they returned. The children and two Autobots rushed the Prism back to space station S.S. Exton 9 to face Galvatron. While Ironhide and Cosmos fought the Decepticons, the children used the Prism of Power to counteract the Decepticons' suspension-ray beam, freeing the station's personnel from their paralysis. Cosmos later returned it to Andellor so he could retrieve Fon. Transformers in 3-D #2
