Q-Drone

Q-Drones are technology from the Rescue Bots cartoon portion of the Aligned continuity family.

"Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet."

To make his life easier, Quint Quarry has an army of Q-Drones at his beck and call. These hovering drones possess an array of technology including the ability to produce energy fields, project holograms, act as a mobile surveillance network, fire bolas, and record and broadcast video.

Once Quarry had captured Optimus Prime for use as prey on Quarry Safariland, three Q-Drones dropped the Autobot leader outside the island's compound. The Q-Drones later detected the Griffin Rock rescue team coming to retrieve Optimus, and Quarry set the drones to work keeping the intruders busy, though Heatwave was able to short-circuit one of them with his water jets. Though he failed to capture Optimus, Quarry tried to leave the island with the three Rescue Bots he had managed to secure, however the Q-Drones proved unable to slow Optimus down, and they were all blasted by Prime's sonic attack before Quarry himself was arrested. Luckily for him, one lone Q-Drone had survived, and Quarry used it to escape. Big Game

When testing the robot dinosaurs Doc Greene had supplied him with, Quarry set them against a bunch of Q-Drones. They performed satisfactorily, so Quarry had a large Amber Drone restrain them and take them to the dock to be sent for sale. The Amber Drone and other Q-Drones were wrecked when Blades freed the Rescue Bots. Quarry's Quarry

Quarry's brother Thurston later stole several of the Q-Drones to aid in capturing new creatures for his own menagerie, including the lion Whiskers. However, the Rescue Bots set a trap by disguising themselves as Dinobots, allowing the Q-Drones to capture them and them take them to Chumley's lair. Chumley attempted to use the drones to keep them captive, but they were ultimately freed and managed to contain Chumley. At the same time, Quarry used some of his own Q-Drones to escape from his imprisonment. Enemy of My Enemy
