Cody and the Rescue Bots must teach Blurr and Salvage everything they need to know.

Synopsis
As helicopters bring in pieces of the Sky Forest, the Rescue Bots secure a level in place. Heatwave calls up Blurr and Salvage to help with the next piece, however a cable breaks, dropping one of the sections of Sky Forest. The Rescue Bots jump down and catch the piece, but Blurr doesn't respond to Heatwave's orders and Heatwave stops the training — in reality the six bots have been using the Hall of Inspiration's virtual reality simulator and no humans were at risk. Heatwave reprimands Blurr who proves unable to justify his inaction. Heatwave suspends the training exercises and returns to the firehouse, where he sends a report to Optimus Prime. Cody suggests that maybe Blurr just needs more time, but it's when Heatwave points out that the rest of the team is having similar misgivings about Blurr that Cody suggests that they try individual training. Chase believes he can put together training reels from security camera footage of their previous rescues.
Chase is soon presenting Blurr and Salvage with a highlight reel of environmental emergencies, including lava, fire, lightning and various forms of flooding. The last clip, ending with Mrs. Neederlander and Mister Pettypaws facing down a giant wave, allows Chase to segue into a segment on Earth animals, which has a lot of footage of the aforementioned cat. Blurr is surprised when the last clip is of a mechanical bull, which Chase admits should have been under "Tech Gone Wrong", though Cody protests they just haven't found a use for it yet. Chase takes that as his cue to start playing the footage he's gathered of malfunctioning technology. A clip of the weather machine leads Chase to point out that allowing technology to reach the "red zone" is dangerous. Afterwards, Chase hands out tests, including to a surprised Boulder, but luckily an emergency call signals the end of standardized testing. Though Boulder and Blades are assigned by Chief to go out and rescue the window washer, Heatwave is talked into letting Blurr and Salvage go too.
The four Bots arrive to find the window washer's hover platform malfunctioning, and Salvage starts creating a ladder to help them reach it, however Blurr impatiently makes an attempt to jump up and grab the guy. This results in the platform overbalancing and sending the window washer hurtling towards the ground, and Boulder's forced to catch him. While Blades takes the victim to Dr. McSwain's, the others return to base where Chief Burns is very unhappy that Blurr endangered a man's life. Blurr fails to see why rescuing humans is so important as they're always getting into trouble, causing the Rescue Bots to detail how great humans are and prompting Chase to show clips related to the teamwork the Bots have with the Burns family. This leads into a discussion about male versus female humans, and the huggability of people with moustaches. Blades brings up Cody's ability to attract falling objects which launches Chase into another series of clips. Blurr remains unimpressed with humans.
Later Blurr watches the Burnses and Rescue Bots play "Burns Ball", and Cody tries to reassure him that Heatwave was also standoffish when he first arrived, but gradually warmed up to the family. Blurr heads to the scrap yard, where he finds Salvage tinkering and generally finding ways to fit in. Blurr contemplates going to Velocitron before heading off to "unwind". Time passes, and the Bots install a new component into the Sigma, an interactive system named ERVIS, though they have to take a minute to tweak the voice. They're interrupted by an emergency call — Blurr is running red lights in town and moments later crashes while avoiding a collision with Jerry. While Chief spins a story for Jerry, the rest of the team extracts Blurr from under the fallen statue of Horace Burns. They head back to the firehouse, where Heatwave yells at Blurr and announces he's confined to the station. Blurr overhears Salvage and Boulder talking about the Sigma, and discovers the presence of the ship in the hangar under the basketball court. After Blades presents his own highlight reel, Blurr hears Heatwave and Chief discussing getting rid of him.
Cody is looking for Blurr and wanders into the hangar just as the hangar doors open. The Sigma launches, knocking scaffolding down and trapping Cody, who can only watch as the spacecraft streaks into the sky.

Transformers references
- Blurr contemplates going to Velocitron, a colony world created for Transformers: Cybertron and later brought into the Aligned continuity family in the books.
Real-world references
- As Boulder paints Blades, the latter is striking the same pose as famous sculpture The Thinker.
- Blades's highlight reel is presented Mystery Science Theater 3000 style.
Animation and technical errors
- Right after Chief Burns asks the group working aboard the Sigma if Blurr is with them, Salvage is seen with the Rescue Bots logo on his chest instead of the "Recycle" logo.
Trivia
- If Dr McSwain is just around the corner, why do they need to take the window washer in Blades?
- Blurr seems to be unfamiliar with females. This technically doesn't contradict anything from the show, but as it's meant to be in continuity with Prime, we know there are female Transformers such as Arcee and Airachnid. In fact the leader of Blurr's home planet was a female named Override. Though this could be attributed to him not being able to tell the difference between humans (something Blades admitted to having problems with in the episode before this one).
