Marvel The Transformers comics

Events from the UK-only comic stories are in italics.

After the first group of Transformer visitors left Nebulos, Hi-Q (working at the request of the Council of Peers) radiated the planet's fuel supply so that it was poisonous to robots.

Later, Rev was working in the com-room of the Hi-Q Industrial Research Complex when Goldbug, Getaway, Joyride, and Slapdash arrived to ask Hi-Q for help rebuilding Optimus Prime. The Autobots were warned that if they used Nebulon fuel they would freeze up and eventually die. Early on, Hi-Q had the opinion that the Transformers were merely machines, but Rev believed otherwise and tried to convince Hi-Q that their visitors were just as alive as they were. Eventually Optimus Prime was rebuilt and Hi-Q came to agree with Rev's point of view. He decided to become Prime's Powermaster partner in order to save his life and to defend Nebulos against Darkwing and Dreadwind (who were already Powermasters). Following his example, Rev quickly volunteered to be partnered to Getaway.

The new Autobot Powermasters defeated Darkwing and Dreadwind. Hi-Test and Throttle were banished from Nebulos, so they took off with their partners.

The Powermaster process altered the circuitry of the Autobots to the point where they could not be separated from their partners. They had to stick together, but, for the sake of Nebulon peace, the Autobots could not remain there. So they all left on the Steelhaven to meet up with the other Autobots, leaving their friend Kari behind. People Power!

In transit to the Moon Optimus Prime filled the Nebulons in on the Autobot/Decepticon war. The history lesson was interrupted by a transmission advertising the "Cosmic Carnival." Optimus and Goldbug investigated the show upon learning that their fellow Autobot Sky Lynx was part of the line-up, though the rest of the crew did not join them; the Cosmic Carnival had a very steep entrance fee, and they didn't have the currency to spare. The Cosmic Carnival Shortly after the Powermasters had reached Earth, they learned that the town of Border Flats had been destroyed due to the presence of some giant robots. Though Slapdash was hesitant to head out into a blizzard to investigate, Rev assured him that the Nebulans would keep their larger partners warm while in their engine modes. The group easily found the mysterious Transformers responsible for the "attack," only to learn that they were in fact Autobots! The whole incident had been a misunderstanding, brought about when Sandstorm, Inferno, and Broadside had attempted to join in a Christmas celebration. Cold Comfort and Joy!

POW!

After Throttle stole a power cell needed for an injured man's life-support, he found his getaway vehicle, the Dreadwing, getting shot down over the ocean. The Autobot Powermasters then headed underwater to retrieve the battery. Already limited to a half-hour window before their Nebulan partners ran out of air, the Autobots were met with further interference when the Seacons turned up. Optimus ordered the Nebulans to see the power cell's retrieval through while the Autobots carried on the fight, knowing that without their engines they would quickly lose strength. Rev and the others unwittingly assured themselves victory when they breached the Dreadwing's cockpit during the power cell's re-acquisition; with their own Nebulan allies now at risk of drowning, the Seacons gave up the offensive to rescuing them. Dreadwing Down!

Rev accompanied Getaway on a mission to guard an Alternate Reality, Inc. warehouse, where Optimus Prime has left behind a floppy disk containing a copy of his mind. Shortly after they had taken up the task, Darkwing and Dreadwind attacked. The Autobots were forced into scrambling for cover, allowing Darkwing access to the building while Dreadwind remained on the offensive. The three Autobots made a mad dash for the building, in the hopes that at least one of them would make it inside. Getaway and Rev succeeded, and set about locating the Decepticon infiltrators. While Getaway blasted Darkwing with his plasma-shell shotgun, Rev charged Throttle, already in possession of the sought-after disk. The heroic Nebulan managed briefly to retrieve the disk, but was forced to surrender it once more when Darkwing disarmed Getaway and held Rev at gunpoint with his electro-kinetic blasters. After a swift kick to the ribs, courtesy of Throttle, Rev was sent into a heap with his Autobot partner and the Decepticons fled. Getaway and Rev stumbled after them, and grabbed a hold of the Decepticons as they reconvened with Dreadwind and Hi-Test. Despite their efforts, the Decepticons combined into their Dreadwing mode, and blasted off, tugging the Autobots along for the ride!

Rev and Getaway were overpowered at Decepticons' orbital headquarters, and thrown in the brig. But as soon as they were left unsupervised, Getaway managed to free himself from his cell. After freeing Rev as well, Getaway went to task sabotaging Scorponok's latest scheme while Rev sought out means of reaching Earth once more. Though Getaway apparently failed in disarming a homing missile set to target Optimus Prime, Rev was successful in tracking down an escape pod. Knowing that the Decepticons would soon be checking up on them, the pair were forced to flee despite Scorponok's machinations still on track. As the Decepticons' smart missile launched, Getaway and Rev contacted Optimus Prime, warning him of the incoming payload. By the time they met up with Prime, the smart missile lay at his feet, apparently a dud. It turned out that Getaway had managed to convince the Decepticons' computer of Optimus's nobility, and it had disarmed the missile in order to spare the Autobot leader. Prime Bomb!
