"My dad said that I should follow in his footsteps."

Spinhead is a master conspiracy theorist or, as others would describe him, a paranoid nutcase. In the absolute knowledge that Cybertron's government is out to subjugate and control its populace using mind control rays, Spinhead has turned to sabotage in an attempt to topple his would-be oppressors. As might be expected, this locust-themed Decepticon is extremely suspicious of anyone he meets and automatically assumes they're part of the conspiracy.

"Propeller beanies are more effective than tinfoil hats, that's because the government has laced our tinfoil supplies with mind-control serum."

A member of the Free Will Faction who launched several attacks on Cybertron's government, Spinhead was imprisoned about the Alchemor and escaped when the ship crashed on Earth. After he destroyed a power transformer, he attracted the attention of Bumblebee's team. Strongarm and Sideswipe tracked him to a substation, where he managed to get the drop on them as they were too busy squabbling to look up. Following the brief skirmish, he flew off and attacked the Anitoba Institute for Extraterrestrial Communication before laying in wait for the Autobot counter attack he was expecting. When Bumblebee denied being part of the massive conspiracy, Spinhead conceded that the team were probably just filthy Autobots and attacked Bumblebee as the rest of the team ran off. Unfortunately for Spinhead, it was a ruse, and during the battle that followed, Bumblebee managed to badly damage his rotors. After being handcuffed, he was jumped on by Grimlock and imprisoned in a stasis pod. Robots in Disguise #1

Spinhead was briefly woken to be questioned regarding the whereabouts of Clipshade, but was too out of it to give a coherent answer. Robots in Disguise #2

Notes

  • As it turns out... Spinhead was absolutely right about the mind-control thing. He just wasn't aware of who was really behind it.
