Bumblebee and Sam know that friendship is magic.

Synopsis

Bumblebee regains consciousness and finds himself deep underground with Sam Witwicky. He also finds he is even more unable to talk than usual, because the rock all around them is blocking his access to the radio transmissions he repurposes to communicate. He begins to realize that not only is his strength slowly fading, but Sam is running out of air to breathe.

Bumblebee reminisces about being free to spend time with his best friend Sam. Even when they weren't buried underground, they still weren't always safe, because Decepticons could attack at any time. But if they did, Sam always knew that he could count on Bee to protect him, and Sam would do anything he could to help out Bee - like the time he used a downed power line to electrocute Starscream, incapacitating him during a dangerous fight between the two Transformers.

Knowing he had to save his friend, Bumblebee somehow found the strength to heave the rocks overhead out of their way, letting in light, fresh air, and the electromagnetic signals that would let him talk to Sam again. At nearly the same time, Ratchet met them digging from the other direction, and marveled at how Bumblebee could possibly have moved such heavy rocks all by himself. Bumblebee simply observed "That's what friends are for."

Quotes

"Bee? Bee...it's getting hard to breathe, buddy. I could kinda use one of your funny sayings right about now...lighten the mood a little. Maybe you could give me a song lyric? Or say a cable news intro? Anything would do, Bee."

Sam is dying to hear Bumblebee say something
