Writing: My ao3 is Antimony_Medusa, writing tag here is my writing, I have a breakdown of my stories here (note this is pretty out of date). 

Fandoms: I post about general MCYT, but a lot of it is QSMP. My heart is still owned by emduo/aeduo from DSMP, OSMP, and SMPEarth however, so you will see the bird and the pig man. Occasionally my queue drops below 200 and I go into my archive or into the Technoblade tag to fill it up again. We post emduo here, sir.

Meta: Occasionally I am struck by lightning and write DSMP meta, the tag for that is dsmp analysis. If i'm analyzing the fandom itself the tag for that is fandom meta. My Ao3 Stats series is under MCYT on Ao3.

Character Critical: My understanding of DSMP lore is that c!dream is a villain and I post untagged stuff to that effect. I kinda am not into villain/morality lenses of the DSMP in general though? Show me a block man without sin. You can’t, because Ponk is not a man. This trend continues for QSMP. I’m not here for who’s right, I’m here for who’s entertaining.

Shipping: I'm still mostly a gen writer, but I do find shipping to be very fun/funny and reblog various arts from various servers without tagging dsmpshipping, trafficshipping, qsmpshipping, etc. If you need shipping or a specific ship tagged to avoid it, this might not be the blog for you.

Tagging: I don’t really tag much or coherently, this is my side blog. I try to remember to tag major triggers with [cw trigger] but I fast reblog a lot and I can’t promise that this blog will be free from untagged triggers, especially if it comes up noticeably in mcyt lore (like gore, cannibalism, child death, and pregnancy). This is my fandom blog and I try not to put real-life politics here, but that is ocassionally on my main if you follow the account that will show up in your notes, @medusasstory.

Said this to a dear and much-loved friend today, but I think maybe we all might need to see it:

  • Long-fic is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Fic, full-stop, is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Art is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.
  • Constantly creating is not the rent you pay to be a part of fandom.

Fandom is a community, not a corporation, your productivity is not a payment you have to make to be here.

i cannot emphasize how necessary it is to have a buddy to participate in fandom with. completely elevated experience. don't have a buddy? find someone you like and message them and be their friend. gush over every sketch and drabble and insane headcanon they have. live life to the fullest.

Jaiden: Yeah no, it was making me feel awful. [Laughs] That's why I deleted it. I replaced it with like, Instagram reels, you know? I'm one of those.

Ironmouse: Oh, Instagram.

Jaiden: That's where- that's where all the screen-time goes, I just scroll, and I go "Well at least it's not Twitter, and people saying mean things!"

Ironmouse: I haven't been on Instagram in so long. Wait– are people nice on Instagram???

Jaiden: Oh, no, they're mean, but it's not directed at me.

This is now the third(ish) year in a row where I've drawn the same design of Empires 1 Scott to review my art development. I'm not 100% happy with any of the pieces on their own, including this one - since I get into them with almost zero planning there are a lot of small and big mishaps that bug me, the background being a big one here. But this being a redraw, having a flawless painting is not really the goal. I see the progress I've made and know that one day I'll get it right.

Besides, this guy is a delight to paint.
