I’d like to introduce you to Ahed ( @ahedalshaer ), whose fundraiser is verified by the butterfly effect project (#407 on the list). Ahed is younger than my little sisters and yet she has been forced to shoulder a great burden in seeking donations for both herself and seven members of her family. She is incredibly sweet, and the way she has documented her life is beautiful. Ahed an aspiring dentist who seeks safety and the ability to continue her education. I haven’t known her long, but looking at her blog brought me into her life – particularly her life on October 5th. Ahed speaks of going back in time to her practicum, to her freedom, to her livelihood, to her safety. She speaks of a return for her family.

The lack of donations sent to Ahed and her family threatens their survival and makes a terrible situation worse. When I look at Ahed’s blog I feel a mix of despair and anger at the world that has left Ahed desperate like this – she should not be left to do this on her own. She should not have to feel afraid when posts of hers do not gain traction and donations are stagnant. She should be provided for as much as possible, as should her family.

I’m begging you to hear Ahed's cries for help. Read her posts, see the beautiful life she has lived, and help her in continuing it. I’m also begging you to share Ahed's campaign, and to donate as much as you can spare to her and her family. Anything helps! It can be as small as the cost of a cup of coffee.

As soon as I got home I got a notification that one of my esims was close to running out of data, and it was burning through the last .10GB of data it had left as I was rushing into the app to add more to it. Turns out this one and a few others were activated less than 2 hours ago and were just rushing to get as much data used as possible.

Anyways point of my story is to keep supporting Crips for eSims for Gaza, so that I can continue to make drop of the hat $32 esim purchases when needed. Thank you.

anyways. there's always so much fuss made about tim's moral code. about whether he's too dogmatic, about whether he only does the right thing because he thinks he's supposed to, about whether it doesn't really exist at all and he just depends on following others' cues on what's right and doesn't deviate from that (wrong), about whether he's just all about the rules and thinks that rules make right

and imo all that is just not quite it. tim has a moral code that he made for himself based on his own experiences--from his first memory being that of the circus and seeing exactly how murder and crime hurts victims like dick grayson, from seeing batman, and later robin, saving and comforting, from the sense of duty he says his parents taught him, from *his own* desire to do the right thing & finding meaning in doing that & his own sense of loneliness. tim can be kind of dogmatic, but that doesn't stem from his belief that rules need to be followed it stems from his own moral code, that he created for himself, based a lot on what he believes batman and robin should be as symbols, which stems directly from him seeing batman "save" dick at the circus. hell a lonely place of dying spells it out--to tim, batman and robin mean something. something very important. so he can be kind of inflexible of what it means to represent the symbol, yes, because to tim, no matter your personal feelings, when you are a part of something greater than yourself, you have to be greater than yourself. that's why he'll get frustrated and mean if he thinks you're not representing the symbol well or nag about doing the right thing when you're working with him.

and i think it can be frustrating that he can come across as "there's only one right way to do things or be good" but idk. i do think he's more malleable on what is good than people give him credit for (he's okay with working with people who have differing ideas of what is right....like a lot) but i also don't think it's inherently wrong of him to have expectations that if he's gonna be okay with working with someone they will at least act in a way that wouldn't be completely orthogonal to his very strong beliefs about wanting to represent the symbol well. he too is allowed to not want to compromise his morals and beliefs and be a little rigid about things that are important to him. he just won't work with you, or want to work with you, otherwise.
