it’s interesting to me that Pierce and Troy were originally intended to be a duo but were replaced by Troy and Abed bcus the actors have rlly good chemistry bcus ik they were planning smth clever like it’d be funny if the young black character and the old white character became close friends cuz they r so different, but what ended up happening is that u get the same effect but better with Troy and abed. Former popular jock type and bullied nerdy autistic guy find out they r actually soul bound for life and understand each other like no one else is way more compelling and fun imo then old guy and young guy have big demographic differences but r besties anyway. They both have the thematic intent of conveying that community college dismantles expectations of clicks and friend groups by putting drastically different ppl on the same playing field but Troy and abed r less obvious and more sincere and I like that

idk how anyone could think troy and abed are straight after digital estate planning like troy was genuinely upset when he remembered he can't have abed's children plus that in end scene these mfs were fully willing to raise that child like no second thought
Abed would have a chart where he recorded things like date activities and the number of kisses and whether they had sex and how and gifts and pet names and such and their observable effects on Troy's mood and try to plan optimal date nights for Troy. Meanwhile Troy would be delighted going on any kind of date with Abed.
So I wrote a fic. I didn't intend to, but here we are.
(basically Troy runs into Brad and thinks he's Abed and Brad decides to gaslight gatekeep girlboss the guy who broke his little brother's heart)
