We loved creating the 2024 Yahoo Beach at this year's Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity - a fresh and modern vibe that celebrated their heritage and invited people into the future. The setting featured a CD wall backdrop, iridescent graphics, a 10ft tall infinity mirror, and an arch-designed stage backdrop that perfectly framed the sea. As night fell, the space came alive with numerous client and partner events, culminating in a late-night party featuring a live music performance. SXSW London! Austin Attitude, European Accent Feel like this was written for me. Can you find someone with a stronger European accent than me, even after 15 years in London (as embarrassed as I am)?! Yesterday I attended the official SXSW London Partner’s launch event. And with June Sarpong OBE on stage too 😍 . DesignScene has worked at the iconic SXSW Festival in Austin for years, and it’s now coming to London, making its European debut in the heart of Shoreditch. What we’ve learned: 💠 The dates have been revealed !! 2-7 June 2025. (Well, from Shoreditch to Cannes then...) 💠 The theme is Convergence. 💠 Convergence of music, technology & innovation, screen, and artistic performances. 💠Tickets go on sale in October… 💠 Expecting 1000+ sessions: 300+ musical performances, 500+ networking events and attendance of 100,000 people. 💠There will be a special CMO summit too. I’ll be 👀 . 🔴 ❗One point for consideration: During the session, it was highlighted how diverse the London scene is and that SXSW typically sees a 52% women, 46% men ratio. However, the director's team for the first European edition includes only one woman... There's an opportunity to improve this ratio and enhance equality for sure.
