Helm Investment Day hosts up to 15 angel investors, most of whom have scaled and exited their business and have now turned to active investing.   Our Angels shared these top tips: 1. Commit to the business - Angels want to see that the founder is 100% in, they don’t want to invest in a side hustle. 2. Concentrate on one thing and do it really well - doubts arise when founders try to do multiple ventures at one time 3. Bring realistic valuations - we’ve found that there is still a hangover from the valuation bubble in 2022/2023 and founders need to re-adjust to the current landscape. We started things a little bit differently last Thursday morning with our Female Founders at Helm! Hosted by the founders of Moon, Lucie Marchelot Shukla and Geeta Vara, we had an immersive and rejuvenating morning focused around wellbeing and self-care. Busy female founders often struggle to prioritise their well-being and Thursday's session gave us the opportunity to carve out some much needed 'me time.' 🧘♀️ We began the morning with an immersive authentic yoga class which helped us to detoxify and reenergise, followed by a short meditation session. 🥗 After our yoga, we enjoyed a nutritious breakfast and had an informative session on how to boost energy, vitality and immunity through Ayurvedic nutrition through the Spring months. 🙏 Lastly we finished with a wellness coaching session on unblocking sabotaging patterns to help us realise and release the behaviour, habits and emotional blocks that are sabotaging us from feeling our best. It's safe to say we certainly left the morning feeling relaxed and restored, ready to take on the day ahead of us! Public-speaking comes higher in our biggest fears than heights, spiders and needles. Helm hosted a brilliant session on amplifying your presence and making an impact when presenting with Mark Sharratt, founder of Energy Alchemy.    Although a small percentage of us actually enjoy public speaking, anyone can hone their skills to pitch effectively to potential clients or a board of investors.
