We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carole Cran as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 December 2024. Carole will also be a member of the Audit Committee.   Carole joins RS with extensive financial experience and has a strong focus on governance and risk. Carole is currently Chief Commercial Officer and Finance Officer at Forth Ports Limited and is a non-executive director of Halma plc, where she is chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committees. She was Chief Financial Officer of Aggreko plc until December 2017, prior to which she held a number of senior finance roles within that group and has also held senior financial positions at BAE Systems plc. She commenced her career in the audit division of KPMG where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant.   RS Group chair, Baroness Rona Fairhead, said: "We are delighted to have Carole join the Board of RS Group plc. Our RS ExCo members had a fruitful time in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week, in a first-ever meeting this ExCo has held in Asia Pacific. During this visit, they conducted meetings with the APAC leadership team, engaged with the Malaysian team in a townhall session and toured our Malaysian Fulfilment Centre. The 52kW capacity solar panel array and 40kWh battery installed at our offices and Fulfilment Centre in Midrand, South Africa have supplied over 45% of the site’s electricity use since they were commissioned in October 2023. Previously, power cuts in South Africa meant that the site relied on its diesel generator for up to 13 hours a day compared to less than six hours per month now the system is operational. On-site solar power generation has cut energy costs by around 40%, reduced carbon emissions and has provided much needed energy security for RS South Africa. #AdvancingSustainability #WeAreRS #ESG #ForABetterWorld
