Ground source heat pumps showcase their efficiency by generating over four units of heat for every unit of electricity used. Lord Callanan, at this year's Heat Pump Summit, explained why the government has raised the boiler upgrade scheme grant to £7,500, one of Europe's most generous subsidies.
