On Photography by Enrico Menduni
In popular newspapers, crime news was always accompanied by photos, taken by photographers who promptly rushed to the scene of the crime. Generally the area is already cordoned off by the police but the photo reporter knows how to make his way through the crowd, overcome barriers and prohibitions, summon witnesses who he portrays in their living and working environments. Photography confirms itself as the best medium for immediate coverage of events.
The so-called "Brera Partisan Girls" photo by Tino Petrelli-Publifoto (Milan, 1945) has enjoyed widespread regard as a symbol of popular participation in the Italian Resistance and, in particular, of female protagonism. When the investigation is deepened, the composition and aesthetics of the picture appear to compose a "retable" in which all the elements of role, gender and class are carefully placed.

ENGLISH - Reality television, infotainment and their relationships with neorelistic cinema.
Digital Culture, Social Networks, Crossmedia by Enrico Menduni

communication by Italian politicians. Research was carried out in 2004 with semi-structured interviews to professional politicians, journalists and politicians’ assistants.
The paper intends to demonstrate that personal mobile communication technologies were introduced in a Darwinian-like
phase of political activity, at least in Italy, where every professional
politician had to help themselves and survive in a milieu that almost suddenly had become very competitive, without significant support from party’s organisation as it were in the past.
Personal mobile communication, in this frame of thinking, appears as a ‘self help’ and timesaving practice and technique, especially for second rank politicians who cannot afford large crews of assistants.
Personal mobile communication technologies contributed to determine relevant transformations in the public sphere, especially regarding to:
a) bargaining and making deals with one’s peers and political partners;
b) relationships with journalists and the media.
At the same time, mobile communications fasten the oral dimension of politics, already pushed by audiovisual media, showing more ‘politics’ than ‘policies’.
Starting from these winning characteristics, the paper – presented as a keynote address at Lublin Radio Research conference (September 2017) - draws some conclusions about the challenges for radio broadcasting in the digital era.

cultural trend?
Furthermore, is podcasting a way towards a more democratic audio media system or is it rather a new tool in the hands of the multinational recording industry?
This article will explore these questions, providing an historical framework to the introduction of digital sound (from 1991 to 2007) and related social practices, distinguishing four main phases: the birth of the popular use of digital music; Web radio; Music for free; the iPod and Podcasting."
