Thu, Aug 22, 2024, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Faculty Hub (3rd Floor of Boatwright Library) or Zoom
Join the Faculty Hub for an interactive session on Getting Started with Alternative Assessment.
Throughout the session, we will:
- Define three different methods of alternative assessment (Specifications Grading, Contract Grading, Ungrading) and look at an example syllabus of each
- Identify benefits and challenges of each approach
- Review UR student perspectives on their experiences taking classes using alternative grading methods
- Discuss with colleagues how one or more of these approaches might be adapted to fit your unique discipline/teaching contexts
Note: Participants may choose to join in-person at the Faculty Hub or remotely via zoom. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be available in the Faculty Hub for those attending in-person.
