A Lei n° 12.527 de 18 de novembro de 2011, conhecida como a Lei de Acesso à Informação (LAI), veio para regulamentar as mudanças que a Constituição Federal Brasileira de 1988 introduziu para adequar-se às práticas da Nova Gestão Pública. A referida lei se apoia no uso da tecnologia da informação para fomentar a cultura da transparência na Administração Pública. Desse modo, o presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar o portal da transparência do município de Petrolina-PE, através da investigação das ferramentas de seu sistema, conforme o que exige a legislação. A metodologia utilizada foi a de estudo de caso, com uma pesquisa descritiva elaborada a partir da LAI. Dentre os resultados encontrados, sobressaem a organização do portal, a disponibilização das informações requeridas pela legislação e o suporte à solicitação de informação dos cidadãos. Em meio as diversas contribuições e pesquisas de Neli Aparecida de Mello-Théry no campo ambiental e da sociedade, o presente artigo resgata a experiência do projeto Experimental Networks for Sustainability. Urban Biosphere Reserves as engines of transformation (ENESUS) e em especial destaque na Reserva da Biosfera do Cinturão Verde da Cidade de São Paulo. As Reservas da Biosfera têm evoluído em conjunto com as mudanças dos conceitos de preservação e conservação e sob o marco das novas diretrizes do Marco de Sevilha, Plano de Madrid e o Plano de Lima as reservas devem ser “regiões modelo de desenvolvimento sustentável” e ‘laboratórios do mundo real”. ABSTRACT Raspberries are fruit with high metabolism that makes them very perishable, impairing their storage and shelf-life. Chitosan coatings have the potential to improve their postharvest life by reducing water loss, respiration rate and decay incidence. The purpose of this work was to study the effect of different concentrations of chitosan, applied pre- or postharvest, on the retention of quality attributes of fresh raspberries. The chitosan concentrations tested were 0 (control), 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0%. The postharvest treatment was applied immediately after harvest, dipping the fruit in the solutions for 5 min. The pre-harvest treatment was done with one hand-spray application per week for three weeks, starting when the fruit were just turning pink. In both experiments the fruit were stored at 0 °C and 90% RH. Pre- or postharvest use of chitosan at 1 or 2% was effective in maintaining titratable acidity and retarding respiration and ethylene production, weight loss and decay incidence. Application by both means resulted in the highest chitosan concentrations accelerating a reduction of ascorbic acid contents. Firmness was maintained only when the fruit were treated pre-harvest at 2%. Thus, application of chitosan at 1 or 2% postharvest and 2% pre-harvest was able to retain key raspberry quality attributes for 15 and 12 days, respectively.
