Amazon, the world’s second-largest e-commerce company, is taking the first step to enter more aggressively into the dispute for this market in Brazil by offering logistics services to retailers. These are services such as stock management, storage, delivery and after-sales, an operation that accounts for half of the company’s sales around the world. Amazon will also help with retailers’ commercial strategy, with tools to help define prices and offers. For consultants, it is a key move for the US-based group to be more competitive in Brazil, rivaling with Mercado Libre, Magalu and B2W.
