Paramount, Yahoo set more ‘Burning Love’

Ben Stiller's Web series will return for second, third season

Burning Love” gets to blaze some more.

Paramount’s Insurge Pictures and Yahoo have given the comedic Web series, which parodies reality dating shows, another two seasons on Yahoo Screen for 2013 after substantial success in its first season.

Exec producer Ben Stiller said, “We are very excited to keep ‘Burning Love’ on the fire — get ready for it to get hotter and hotter till it scalds your comedy taste buds off.”

Writer Erica Oyama and director Ken Marino, who also starred in the first season, will both return for the next two installments. Season two will spin the show into a “Bachelorette”-esque situation, with the rejected Julie (June Diane Raphael) getting the chance to find love. The third season, dubbed “Burning Down the House,” will reunite the rejects under one roof for competition and drama reminiscent of “The Bachelor Pad.”

The series’ first season, which starred Marino as bachelor Mark Orlando, gained major buzz thanks to critical acclaim and a slew of celeb guest stars that included Stiller, Kristen Bell and Ken Jeong.
