The Saltzman Forum

The Saltzman Forum is an annual event held in honor of Ambassador Arnold A. Summer Workshop on the Analysis of Military Operations and Strategy

The sixteenth Summer Workshop on the Analysis of Military Operations and Strategy (SWAMOS) will be held July 8-22, 2012. Students selected for the program will receive specialized instruction from experienced specialists from academic, political and military backgrounds. 20 students will be selected to participate in the upcoming session. The Saltzman Working Paper Series feature drafts of research or essays in progress that feature research performed by scholars affiliated with the Institute. International Relations Faculty Seminar

Comparative Defense Studies Program

The Comparative Defense Studies Program, directed by Senior Research Scholar Dr. Stephanie Neuman, is dedicated to comparative research on defense issues and peacekeeping throughout the world, with a focus on Third World security issues.  To this end, the program concentrates on collecting data, producing analytic studies, and sponsoring conferences and seminars.  Special emphasis is given to alternative concepts of peace and security. more

Center for International Conflict Resolution
