Hot tip: Double Eviction

On July 22 Rove will present his show from New York City, chatting to Sandra Bullock.

It will air at 9pm, meaning an extended Big Brother most likely indicates another Double Eviction could be looming.

There are currently 8 housemates remaining with Michelle, Zach and Aleisha up for nomination this weekend.

As the show ends on Mon July 30, it's clear there will need to be some hurried exits.

Summer Bay cast changes

Chris Sadrinna, "Brad" of Home and Away will be written out of the show in the next twelve months according to the Daily Telegraph.

"It wasn't his choice to go, the producers made the decision for him. He didn't want to go, he was just told 'that's it','' one spy said yesterday.

Given his character is tied closely to Sally (Kate Ritchie) there is now speculation that her character may be exiting, hence the need to write out Sadrinna. Read more...

Another boned from Nine

Confidential reports on another of Eddie's mates dropped from the Nine payroll, cab driver Gerard Donaghy.

Donaghy appeared on Enough Rope and was so outspoken with his views that McGuire immediately added him to Nine's stable on a $20,000 retainer.

Donaghy says he did next to nothing for 12 months.

"I did something for (Brisbane) Extra and also for Schoolies Week where a film crew drove around in my cab with me, but basically I did nothing," he said.

"I think I have been boned."

As the murder investigation gets underway, Amy finds that her attraction towards Gus makes it impossible for her to believe that he could be corrupt. Pete watches on and is convinced that Gus is simply playing Amy. [SBS/9:30pm] The Circuit. Premiere. Drew Ellis has taken a sabbatical from his beautiful wife, and comfortable legal career, to go bush. Carrying the professional arrogance that a middle class life allows, Drew ventures from the confined legal circles of Perth to do a stint in the outback with the Aboriginal Legal Service (ALS) – a worthy addition to the CV of a lawyer seeking higher office. The Circuit, which begins on SBS Television, Sunday, July 8 at 9.30pm, is set in the Kimberley region of North Western Australia. The Kimberley is a land rich in history for its traditional owners, but now sits within the confines of white ownership and white law. This is the home of The Circuit, the Magistrate’s Court that visits far-flung communities several days a month, bringing conveyor-belt justice dealt swiftly and fairly – although that’s not always the case. Working between two worlds and juggling white law with traditional lore, means that justice is sometimes a slippery beast. Drew is charming, confident, capable, and now, completely out of his depth. This will be no walk in the park and the expectations on Drew are high. Despite his white upbringing and terrific white wife, Drew Ellis is black. As a city slicker, he can be excused for not knowing about cattle duffing, street drinking and payback, but what does he know about his own Aboriginal heritage and the culture of his Indigenous clients? It’s a steep learning curve for Drew. He has to deal with a whole new world of justice, a world where he seems to forever be on the outer as both black and white see him as “not one of us, one of them”. The Circuit stars Aaron Pedersen, Gary Sweet, Kelton Pell, Tammy Clarkson, Marta Kaczmarek, Nick Simpson-Deeks, LeRoy Parsons, Bill McCluskey and Kirsty Hillhouse. Produced by Ross Hutchens and Colin, written by Kelly Lefever, Dot West, Mitch Torres, Beck Cole, Kootji Raymond and Jane Harrison. Directed by Catriona McKenzie, Richard Frankland and Steve Jodrell. The Circuit is a Media World Pictures production, produced in association with SBS Independent, Screen West, Lotterywest with the assistance of the Australian Film Finance Corporation.
