The marriage is off!

Awwww. House co-stars Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison have called off their plans for a wedding later this year.

"After much consideration, we have decided not to get married," the couple said in a joint statement. "We are still very close, and we look forward to continuing to work together on House."

They seemed like such nice kids too!

Lies and more damned lies

Jerry Springer will host the UK version of a new lie-detector "game show" called Nothing But the Truth.

The show has been a huge hit in Colombia.

Contestants compete for prizes by answering true-life questions about their personal life including, "Have you ever cheated on your wife?"

Charming.

The show has been sold to 20 territories by Reveille Distribution.

In Australia Reveille has an exclusive deal with TEN, having produced The Biggest Loser.

How long before we hear about a local version here? Maybe the Corby clan could take part in it?

Out: Kerri-Anne. In: Susie

In the contractual war between WIN and the Nine Network, three programmes are being dumped by WIN.

Mornings with Kerri-Anne will be replaced by WIN-produced Susie, hosted by Susie Elelman. The show is moving from 12pm to 9.30am as part of a show of strength by WIN.

Nine Morning News and Fresh are also being dropped.

WIN had previously dropped other shows including The Catch-Up. Antiques Roadshow has also been replaced by The Brady Bunch.

WIN is reportedly seeking to pay 29% of gross advertising revenue for Nine programming, down from 32%. Nine is said to be seeking 40% and long term contracts of 5 or 10 years, according to The Australian.

Losing WIN broadcasts of Mornings will be a severe blow to Nine, given its advertiser rates are based on metropolitan and regional audience figures.

WIN also recently outbid Nine for the Adelaide and Perth Nine affiliates. Boss Bruce Gordon, who spent 35 years at Paramount Television, is determined to go it alone if necessary.
