Thank God US premiere

The American premiere of Thank God You're Here came fourth in its timeslot against some tough competition.

The comedy was beaten by ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, Fox’s House, 24 and CBS’s CSI: Miami.

The show will have a harder row in the country where Whose Line is it Anyway is already established.

But NBC obviously has faith, giving it a 2 hr prime time launch.

After next week, however, it moves to Wednesday nights against the results edition of American Idol.

Logies: 2 down 1 to go.

Dave Hughes has been added to the list as a key presenter of the upcoming Logie Awards.

He joins Adam Hills as two of three key presenters. Again this year the awards are steering clear of a single host, and this time focussing on a younger crowd.

So who will be third? So far we have neither a female, nor a representative of the Nine Network, the host broadcaster. Libby Gore what are you doing on the 6th of May?

Hughes is not really a surprising choice, but alongside Adam Hills and backstage hosts Hamish and Andy there is certainly a tone of naughty boys, or if you will, the inmates taking over the asylum.

They are a far cry from traditional hosts who are seem to revel in the excess and importance of the evening (Bert, Daryl, Eddie).

Hughesy and Hills are almost anti-Logies hosts. Maybe we should be telecasting The Fuglies after all!

Meanwhile, Avril Lavigne is also to appear.

Logies watch info is here.
