Returning: Gilmore Girls, Strong Medicine

Gilmore Girls is returning to Nine.

It will screen in the low-key Sunday arvo slot of 4:30pm from March 18.

"The Party's Over" episode is #8 in Series 5. It screened in the US in November 2004. Series 7 is currently in production.

NRL is likely to play in non-Melbourne markets.

Meanwhile TEN returns hospital drama Strong Medicine from 12pm Wednesday March 14.

"Positive Results" is the Season 5 premiere from June 2004. Grant Show, from Melrose Place, has a HIV test that proves positive.

Just who Loves My Way?

Following recent speculation about the audience figures for Foxtel's Dangerous attention now turns to Love My Way.

In the Top 100 Pay TV shows for Week 9, the premiere of LMW Season 3 is nowhere to be seen.

At #1 was
Live: Rugby Union: S14 W'tahs V W Force with 106,423 viewers. At #100 is Footballers' Wives on 22,404. By definition, LMW was lower.

It's a worrying signal for such an acclaimed Aussie drama. But is it the result of Foxtel programming LMW on the Showtime Channel?

John Edwards, producer of both dramas, has previously told me that LMW gained its biggest ever audience over summer when it was repeated on the Showtime Channel. So it's a bit odd that it hasn't made the week's Top 100. But Showtime is not available on basic Foxtel packages, and are two hour screenings (in keeping with movie block programming) too demanding?

I'm still waiting for Foxtel to clarify that its OzTam results are an aggregate score, which for subscription TV that thrives on repeat screenings, diminishes the premiere audience figure of new shows.

Do you have Foxtel? Do you watch Love My Way?

TEN's Sunday musical chairs.

After having such a shocking Sunday night result, TEN is making more changes to its schedule.

Up until today, Jamie's Return to School Dinners was scheduled for 8:30pm next Sunday.

Not anymore.

TEN tanked on Sunday with Cool Aid only getting 511,000 and The Biggest Loser was a long way behind Grey's Anatomy and Sixty Minutes. The poor figures follow two weeks of TEN coming fourth to the ABC on Sundays with Celebrity Dog School, now bumped to Saturdays.

Next Sunday's line-up is now:

6:30pm Thank God You're Here (rpt)
7:30pm The Biggest Loser
8:30pm Movie: School of Rock
10:40pm Movie: SuperSize Me (rpt)

It's all a bit ironic that TEN was the first network to drop Sunday movies, and now they are coming back -at least for now.

Meanwhile a new series of Jamie at Home will air 7:30pm from Thursday March 15.

TEN has real problems on its hands, getting lost in the Seven and Nine battle and Cool Aid tanked on 511,000.....next week it will repeat Thank God You're Here at 6:30pm. ABC's Kylie had only 496,000. Concerts never attract big figures.
