SBS to air South Park's Irwin scene

"Hell on Earth 2006", the episode in which South Park lampoons Steve Irwin, is set to air on SBS on Monday May 14.

SBS has confirmed the animated comedy will screen uncut.

Last year it was reported that the episode might air later in 2008, after calls for the tasteless comedy to be shelved or edited.

But tasteless is what South Park always does.

In the "Hell on Earth 2006" episode, Satan throws a Halloween party. When The Crocodile Hunter turns up Satan throws him out, telling the "costume wearer" it's too soon to be so tasteless. When he realises it really is Irwin, he throws him out anyway for not wearing a costume.

Other guests at the party include Hitler and Diana.

Expect fireworks....

Update: This episode was originally scheduled for May 7 but after the Logies announced a Hall of Fame Award for Irwin the night before, it's been bumped a week.

Tribal wargames for Nine

Nine's new reality show The Lost Tribes will premiere on Logie Night, at 6:30pm.

The series pits three Aussie families amongst traditional tribes in Indonesia. Namibia and South Africa. The families agreed to participate in a holiday adventure but had no idea where they would be heading. Little did they know it would be to live as tribal members of primitive villagers.

The series is based on a UK format Ticket to the Tribes.

I've already seen the first episode, so stay tuned, I'll give you the early word on it very soon!

Looks like May 6 will be a big one for Nine with Lost Tribes, Red Carpet Arrivals and Logie Awards.

TV Lounge

Now due to popular demand I am adding a TV Lounge section to my blog.

This is basically an open forum for you to add comments or ask questions on topics that you can't see anywhere else on the site.

So if there's something you've been meaning to get off your chest, or there's a question that doesn't seem to fit anywhere else, or comments on the site.... here is where it goes!

Comments policy: Keep it nice people. There's nothing worse than a site where people anonymously sledge off others. I'm moderating the site still so comments may not appear immediately. If you cross a line that is defamatory I may opt not to approve it. Know that I can only approve or reject comments, I can't edit. Please also refrain from promoting websites that aren't TV related and contain spoilers.

Other than that, pull up a beanbag, lay back and fire away!

This section will deleate earlier comments as a way of housekeeping.

Final Logies host: Fifi Box

Fifi Box has been announced as the third and final host of the TV Week Logie Awards.

Box is currently appearing in Dancing with the Stars and has been a regular on Thank God You're Here.

She is the sole female host in a group of three, alongside Dave Hughes and Adam Hills.

As yet no Nine celebrity has been given a prominent role in the on-stage ceremony. But could Fifi be swooped by Nine, given she was involved with The Nation with Mick Molloy? It may be a move to launch her for Nine...

Expect an announcement after she finishes up with Dancing with the Stars.

Executive Producer Pam Barnes said today on confirming Fifi as a key presenter: "I'm delighted Fifi has agreed to be our third key presenter. Her endearing friendly nature and bubbly personality will bring another dimension to this year's line up."
