Kid Nation. The new buzz in reality?

40 kids. One town. No adults - only in America.

If you want proof the US has officially lost the plot, or believes there is only one way to rediscover it, then check out Kid Nation.

In CBS' upcoming reality show a ghost town in New Mexico is transformed by 40 over-achieving kids aged 8 -15 who run their own pioneer society, completely devoid of adults (well except for the production crew we assume). It's a bizarre premise and reminiscent of Lord of the Flies.

These kids form social classes, a local government, they work, debate laws and civil structure. Each episode offers a $20,000 gold star awarded by the kids to one of their own for their future. No child is evicted but can leave of their free will.

If you want to see the mind-boggling trailer go here. (Pop-Up)

It shudders belief that any clear-thinking parent would let their kid go on this, but America being what it is, tv fame is equivalent to royalty. As outrageous as the premise is, the trailer shows it to be must-see TV too.
