Educational Outreach
Education has always been a primary focus of the Lockheed Martin philanthropy efforts. We invest in education because it is integral to the future of our industry. Every child should have the option to explore the opportunities in math and science. We start at K-12 education to spark an early interest and continue our support through higher education. The dreams of a child today may become the technology solutions of tomorrow.
Fifty percent of our contributions and activities are geared toward strengthening students’ capabilities in math and science. Our future successes depend on having a constant supply of highly trained, highly capable technical talent. To help prepare tomorrow’s leaders, Lockheed Martin takes part in activities such as The Space Day Education Initiative, MATHCOUNTS®, and K-12 Mentoring to name a few.
Charitable Contributions
As corporate citizens, it is our responsibility to make charitable contributions that support our diversity vision.
