Diversity Awards

  • Lockheed Martin landed the number two spot on BusinessWeek’s 2006 “Best Places to Launch a Career” ranking among employers in America. Strong on-campus recruiting, solid benefits and an inclusive environment helped put the corporation near the top of the list.
  • Lockheed Martin was named most ‘ideal’ employer by the 2006 Universum survey of college students. The survey polled more than 37,000 students at 207 leading universities, including over 7,000 engineering majors.
  • The corporation ranked fifth on Training magazine’s 2006 list of companies with the best training programs. The company was praised for its people development and commitment to diversity and education.
  • Lockheed Martin was ranked among the top military-friendly employers by G.I. Jobs magazine. The corporation was in the top 1% of the 2,500 companies evaluated, ranking 20th overall and topping all other defense contractors.

Equal Employment Opportunity Awards

  • Twenty Lockheed Martin employees from five business areas were recognized this year at the Black Engineer of the Year Conference for their contributions.
  • DiversityBusiness.com put Lockheed Martin on the list of top corporations for multicultural business opportunities. Winners are named based on factors such as the volume, consistency and quality of business opportunities granted to women and minority-owned companies.
  • Lockheed Martin was rated one of the best employers for people with disabilities by Careers & the Disabled magazine. The company came in 19th out of 50, topping all other defense contractors.
