Political Disclosures

Political Action Committee

The Corporation maintains a political action committee. The Lockheed Martin Employees Political Action Committee (LMEPAC) supports candidates for the House and Senate who support national defense, business issues of interest to the corporation, sit on committees with oversight over Lockheed Martin programs and either represents a district with a Lockheed Martin facility, or have employees residing in their district. All LMEPAC contributions are reported to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and can be accessed by going to the FEC website, www.fec.gov.

Soft Money

Lockheed Martin provides no soft money to 527-type organizations or soft money to political or presidential candidates. The one area where we do provide funding is our membership in the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) and the Republican Governors Association (RGA).  The Corporation intends to disclose any future soft money contributions.

Governor’s Associations

We support the DGA and RGA as a result of having operations in all fifty states. In over half the states in which we operate, we employ from a few thousand to over twenty thousand people. Our support for the DGA and RGA is a reflection of our need to work with various governors’ offices on issues of mutual interest to the corporation. In dealing with the DGA and RGA we don’t consult with these organizations regarding the expenditures of their funds.  The primary contact with the DGA and RGA is Stephen Chaudet, Vice President of State and Local Government Affairs and PAC.

Governance

Decisions regarding the Lockheed Martin Employees Political Action Committee are made by the PAC’s board of directors. The Board meets several times a year to set PAC policy and approve PAC budgets and contributions. The PAC Board is chaired by Brian Dailey, Senior Vice President of Washington Operations. The Treasurer of the PAC is Larry Duncan, Vice President of Federal and State Government Relations & PAC Affairs.  The Secretary of the PAC is Jay Brozost, Vice President, General Counsel.  The Board is composed of representatives from several Corporate functional areas including:

Brian Dailey - Senior Vice President, Washington Operations
Larry Duncan - Vice President, Federal and State Government Relations & PAC Affairs, Washington Operations
Jay Brozost - Vice President, General Counsel
Tom Jurkowsky - Vice President, Communications
