Polaroid Stories Through April 19photo by Rowan Copley
Inspired in part by Ovid's Metamorphoses and based on interviews playwright Naomi Iizuka conducted with young prostitutes and street kids, Polaroid Stories blends classical mythology with real life stories told by young people pushed to society's fringe. Photo by Barbara WoodelT.R. Reid Returns on April 14 Journalist T.R. Reid returns on Tuesday, April 14 to give this lecture: "The Global Superpowers of 2050 (The U.S. won't be No. 1. Neither will China.)"  T.R. Reid is the College's Nitze Senior Fellow for 2008-2009. Auerbach Auditorium of St. Mary's Hall 8 pm.
Prior to the 8 pm event, Reid will be part of a discussion panel in the Reeves-Garner Reading Room of the Library at 2:30 pm. He will be joined by SMCM faculty members Brian O'Sullivan (English) and Celia Rabinowitz (library) to discuss where his book ideas come from, how a prolific author researches, writes, edits, publishes, and the future of reading and writing.
