This unhuman thing, Hamid Karzai, has done as much damage to the soldiers on the ground as the Taliban. After eight years with boots on the ground this so call leader of Afghanistan has humiliated repeatedly NATO and thwart attempts to seriously move the country forward, by introducing rape law, minimizing efforts to expand the Afghan army so his war lord friends could profit from drug trafficking, and yielding to all types of governmental corruption.. He still asks for more aid, yet aid workers can't walk freely to help because his local police are untrustworthy and part time Talibans. So after all his stupidities and many dead soldiers what do we do, we give his government over $300 million to prove he can run a mature and fair election. Guess what he did? You guessed right! He humiliates NATO again, in your face straight up massive voter fraud. What are going to do about, he taunts.

How's your brother's drug trade going? I only ask because it seems that drugs are the main source of revenue of the Taliban.

Spoken like a Bush Appointee.....

I do agree with him that the war has had a terrible impact on the people of Afghanistan and that he needs to be saying that publicly and he needs to speak out against civilian deaths and encourage the war to go somewhere else..

at the same time, legitimacy was in question the minute the Bush Administration installed him. Like so many other governments that were present during the Bush years, involvement with Bush diminished their credibility and they no longer exist. Australia, England and other countries all threw out their gov and leaders who worked with Bush... a complete repudiation... Karzai is one of the few survivors...

" ... Karzai is one of the few survivors ... "

Key word is SURVIVE.

Here's a guy who can't safely leave his walled presidential compound. He's not exactly thriving. He's not exactly governing. He's not exactly calling the shots. He's basically Surviving .... and nothing more.
