Now, on the occasion of its Second Birthday, we have seen Indieroke grow and flourish into the bull-in-a-china-shop toddler that we always knew it could be. In its very short, yet surprisingly full life, it has seen local garage rockers standing on piano tops, crashing chandeliers, yacht rock captains' hats, stage diving, many, many painful Don't Stop Believin' renditions and more GTs than can be listed in this limited space. If you've never been, we highly recommend you step out tonight. If you haven't missed a single one, then the warm bosom of Indieroke is surely anticipating your return, welcoming you back to the cave of rawk.
As always, there will be much amazing tunage to choose from, whether your tastes lean towards the crooning of The Magnetic Fields and Jeff Buckley, or the jangly jams of T. Rex. Hell, we don't care if you sing I'm a Little Teapot while dousing yourself in Miller High Life, smearing eyeliner all over your face in interpretive dance, as long as you commit to the feeling. There will be prizes for the best female, male and group (boy bands!) singers, but in the end, we're all winners, aren't we?!
