So You Wanna See So You Think You Can Dance on Tour

he Top Ten from this summer's season of So You Think You Can Dance will be making a stop in Austin this fall. The judges on the show insist that this fifth season's dancers are the best they've had on the show, and come October 27, you can be the judge as to how well they perform live.

The Food Network is taping a show in Austin later this week featuring the Casserole Queens and their delish Chicken Pot Pie. Now NBC fans on Time Warner can watch the election results next week, and the season premiere of 30 Rock tomorrow night, on KXAN. KXAN announced earlier this morning through Twitter that the channel was once again available to Time Warner cable subscribers. So no more Tuesday lunch dates with Chuck via hulu, and no more needing to spend every Thursday night at the Alamo because otherwise you couldn't see the funniest comedy on TV that night (although the season premiere for 30 Rock was posted a week early on the internet). Kelly Crabb and Christy Cook, Austin residents and contestants on the current season of The Amazing Race, are throwing a viewing party this weekend. The friends and teammates (identified on the show as "Divorcees") are starting a foundation to raise money for impoverished countries visited each season on the show. For season 13, the focus for their newly-formed AmazinGrace Foundation is on Cambodia. Sunday night's event will involve an auction, with all proceeds to the foundation being donated to the Asian country.

So You Think You Can Dance, the FOX dance competition show, has become a summer reality staple for some of us. If the crowd at the touring show Sunday night at the Erwin Center indicates anything, it's that SYTYCD fans are a diverse bunch. We had a chance that afternoon to chat with a small sampling of the dancers, including Gev Manoukian and Courtney Galiano, who had been the underdogs in the competition and seem to be enjoying themselves on tour. We asked them about their experience on the show and post-tour plans.
