Texarkana�s native son Ross Perot celebrated his 80th birthday Tuesday near Dallas and local university, city and county officials attended the event to present him with a surprise.

The Interstate 30 bridge connecting Walton and University drives will be called the H. Ross Perot Bridge.

Scott Bruner, Texas A&M; University-Texarkana Foun-dation president, made the announcement at Dell Perot Systems headquarters.
