Non-Government Organisation Roundtable

The Non-Government Organisation Roundtable includes leaders from across the community sector, including unions, social services, environment groups and local government and was established to engage NGOs on the Government’s climate change policies.

The introduction of a carbon price will reshape our economy. This Roundtable will ensure that the views of the community are front and centre as we progress this important economic reform.

This Roundtable will play a critical role in providing advice to the Government on the introduction of a carbon price, including issues of household assistance, jobs growth and sustainability surrounding climate change.

The NGO Roundtable will be co-chaired by the Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, and the Minister for Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, Tony Burke.

The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Joe Ludwig, will also be a member.
