Ross McMullin is an experienced historian and biographer who has written extensively about Australian history, politics and sport.
Ross is the author of the ALP centenary history The Light on the Hill: The Australian Labor Party 1891-1991. He has written another book about ALP history, So Monstrous a Travesty: Chris Watson and the World’s First National Labour Government.
His biography Pompey Elliott about a celebrated Australian commander in World War I was awarded the MUP Award for Literature and the Christina Stead Award for autobiography, biography or memoir.
His most recent book, Will Dyson: Australia’s Radical Genius, a biography of Australia’s first official war artist, was commended by the judges of the National Biography Award.
