Missions Focus:

  • Teaching conversational English to adults and children at the Sakai and Konoike Churches of God in Osaka and at the Tarumi Church in Kobe.
  • To build evangelistic relationships by making contacts for the churches through these teaching opportunities.

Printable Biography

Nelecia was born in Trinidad and raised in New York. As an undergraduate at Nyack College in New York studying English Nelecia's faith became more personal and deep as she experienced fullness in her relationship with Jesus Christ. Nelecia received her masters degree in secondary education from Lehman College.

Nelecia has had the opportunity to serve on mission teams to Mexico, Jamaica, Haiti and China. It was while spending a summer in China teaching English at a High School she met a missionary who had traveled to Japan. The stories Nelecia heard were the spark the Lord used to birth a desire to serve the Japanese people. After her experience in China and some teaching assignments in the US, Nelecia had the opportunity to serve for a year teaching second year student –teachers in Ethiopia.

After eight years of teaching Nelecia is eager to sow into the lives of others and is eager to teach and learn as she begins her teaching assignment in Japan.
