Dwayne & Kara Goldman served in Chelyabinsk, Russia, after receiving a request from the Russian church in 2005 for some assistance in leadership development, specifically in youth and student ministries. While on Home Assignment following their ministry in Russia, they were challenged and stretched while waiting on the Lord's timing and direction, but they experienced a renewal of their call to continue in the training and development of young leaders.

The Goldman's had the opportunity to visit the campus and meet with the administration in March, 2011. During that time, it became clear that God was leading them to serve at WITC and in the region. WITC has a solid history in preparing young leaders. The school was founded in 1950 by missionaries, Clair and Retha Shultz. From the beginning, the clear vision for the school has been to train local leaders to lead in the future development of the church throughout the Caribbean-Atlantic.

Dwayne, born in Jackson, Mississippi, grew up in the Church of God. As a teenager at Camp Dixon, he first felt called to work with youth and students. He graduated from Anderson University and then served full time in youth ministry at First Church of God in Nappanee, Indiana, until 1996.

Kara was born in Warren, Pennsylvania and grew up in a strong Christian home. As a teenager, she began to sense that the world was much larger than her backyard. She studied for one year with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) and then graduated from Anderson University, where she and Dwayne met. Dwayne and Kara have completed their master degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and Azusa Pacific University respectively.

They will be commissioned in June 27, 2011 at the North American Convention in Anderson, IN and hope to depart for their new home later this summer to set up and prepare for the upcoming school year before classes begin in September. The Goldman's have three children: Manning, Brennan, and Abigail.
