Itineration - Connect-Home Assignment

ITINERATION...what is that? It's better known as "Home Assignment" to the missionary community.

What it is not...one long vacation for missionaries.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for
which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14

What is Home Assignment?

  • Giving updates on the ministry to prayer and financial supporters while visiting churches
  • It's traveling
  • Teaching and training in churches, camp meetings, and North American Convention
  • It's traveling
  • Furthering one's education and specialized training, sharpening ministry skills
  • It's traveling
  • Taking time for rest and renewal, both spiritually and physically
  • It's traveling
  • Spending time with family and friends
  • It's traveling
  • Taking care of kids and/or grandkids, putting kids in college
  • It's traveling

One of the greatest joys of a missionary returning for home assignment is reconnecting with those who have been partners in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How can you help?

You can be a tremendous blessing to a missionary on home assignment. Contact Debbie Taylor at [email protected] or call 1.800.848.2464, ext 2199 to schedule a Sunday church visit, or better yet...be creative! Sometimes the best way to get to know your missionary better is to plan an informal gathering: pizza party, cook-out, VBS, children's events, fashion show, or consider a missions teaching/training seminar for your congregation.

How can we help you?

  • We can give you up-to-date information about who is and will be on Home Assignment
  • We can schedule your Living Link missionaries if they are available
  • We can and will do our best to fill your speaker request with a great speaker
  • We can send you an electronic confirmation detailing the date and time of your event as well as a copy of the expense policy and bio of your missionary speaker. Hard copies are also available if preferred.

Will you join us?

For me personally, I gained a valuable perspective of a missionary's life through a cross-cultural experience with an "Eye on the World" ministry trip to Kenya. I left with global eyes, but returned with a global heart. It's all about relationships...first, with Jesus Christ and secondly, with others.

We invite you to join us in this exciting opportunity to give back through your prayers, finances, and/or a ministry trip as we invest in Kingdom work that has eternal value and purpose. Click here for more information about the Living Link program and supporting a missionary. Be a blessing!
